The innovative SCENAR is a biofeedback healing device that uses computerized technology for managing pain.  Developed in the Russian space program, it is a highly efficient alternative medical device for promoting the body’s own healing process in pain syndromes.  It is placed on the skin with an electrical contact at one end.  You will feel a gentle tingling or stroking sensation.  By influencing the thin C-fibers of the nervous system, which constitute most of the nerves in the body, it stimulates the production of the body’s own pharmacy of regulatory neuropeptides into the bloodstream.  These natural body chemicals help the brain recognize where a problem exists and allow the body to heal itself more efficiently.  As with most interventions for pain management, a series of sessions is usually necessary to achieve optimal results.  Extensive experience in Russia has demonstrated a success rate of approximately 80%.
